I have a Steiff bear How do I know if it is original

Author: It has it’s original tag with 00379 on it. There is no slash in the numbers. I know it is either from 1909 or a replica of that bear. How do I know the difference? Plus how much is it worth?

How much is a cinnamon small, Steiff Teddy Bear, made in the early 1900s worth?
I think it was made between 1904 and 1906. It has the hole in the ear but no Steiff tag. Stitched toes and nose. Cinnamon color, approx 12” in good condition.
